Innovations at the Raiffeisen Business Run on May 8, 2025

Dear business runners,

We are looking forward to welcoming you today to the Raiffeisen Business Run 2025 to draw attention to this! Save the date: Thursday, 8th May 2025 – it will once again be a highlight for all running enthusiasts!

In order to meet the high demand of recent years, we have some exciting innovations prepared for you.

Here is an overview:

New start concept – starting blocks for a smooth process

A joint mass start is no longer possible with so many participants. That's why we are introducing starting blocks with 1.500 people each. Here are the details:

First starting block: 18:20 pm, further blocks every 10 minutes.
Nordic Walker: start in the last block (probably around 19:10 p.m., subject to change).
Block voting: When registering, you choose your starting block yourself – but be careful: once a block is full, you can no longer register for it. The principle is "First come, first serve"!
high-performing companies: When reserving a contingent, you can specify your preferred starting block (also “first come, first served”).
Running time: The choice of starting block does not depend on your running speed!!!
elite runners: Elite runners have the opportunity to start at the very front in the first starting block to ensure ideal conditions for their performance. A separate entrance will be set up at the starting arch for this purpose. Separate registration or information to us is not necessary - we trust that only elite runners will use this area. (Please still select the first starting block when registering).

Changed starting lineup

The starting arch will be moved to Paulustorgasse and the pre-start area will lead via Spor- and Ballhausgasse towards Freiheitsplatz in 2025. This will provide more space and a more pleasant starting experience.

To avoid the traffic jam at the finish line from last year, we are extending the finish line and thus ensuring a smooth finish. Thanks to the new block start system, the course remains pleasant at all times and significantly less crowded than before.

Comfortable pasta dispenser

Even after the run, things are more relaxed:

We are creating more space and an organized queuing system (similar to that at the airport) for pasta distribution.

More space for company pagodas

Do you want your own area for your team? There are new possibilities in 2025!

In addition to the pagodas at Freiheitsplatz, there are additional pagodas in the city park (near the traffic kindergarten) – just 80m from Karmeliterplatz.
Both locations offer the usual good food, music and DJs and are close to the party location.
