Business run is celebrating a comeback

For the 20th anniversary of the Raiffeisen Business Run, thousands of people exchanged their business outfits for running clothes and made Graz city center unsafe.

After a forced break of almost two years, it was finally time again on September 23rd: The Raiffeisen Business Run, presented by Kleine Zeitung and Uniqa, reported back from the heart of Graz. The comeback was not only a sporting highlight, but also a big celebration - not least because it was the 20th edition of the largest business running event in Graz.

At 17:30 the mayor announced Siegfried Rush and RLB board director dr Florian Stryeck the starting signal for the run over the 5,1-kilometer route, which led across the historic city center of Graz via Schubertstraße to the Hilmteich and from there back to the starting point.

Over 3.000 runners from around 200 companies, including AVL List GmbH (220 runners), the city of Graz (285 runners) and KNAPP AG (135 runners), took part in the sports Event used again this year for team building. Not only the runners themselves ensured a good atmosphere along the route, but also the top DJs of Antenne Steiermark. The sporting successes achieved in the team were celebrated at the subsequent after-run birthday party on the Burgring meadow.

The sporting achievements are impressive: Christian Nindl crossed the finish line first. He only needed 16:25 minutes. As in 2019, the women also triumphed this year Maria Hochegger (18:04 minutes). The title "fastest men's team" secured itself running inGraz x ON running 2. The women's team won running inGraz x ON running 1. And the team did it in mixed Rappold and Partner Haustechnik 1 on the top step.

Numerous representatives from politics, business and sports congratulated the organizer Andreas Mauerhofer on the round business run birthday.
