Emotions, team spirit, and an anniversary that captivated all of Graz: The Raiffeisen Business Run celebrated its 25th anniversary on Thursday, setting a new participation record. A total of 9.700 runners from 626 companies and 85 nations transformed Graz's city center into Styria's largest sporting networking event.

At precisely 18:20 p.m., City Councillor for Sport Kurt Hohensinner and Managing Director of Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark, Rainer Stelzer, officially opened the anniversary run with the starting pistol. An impressive field of runners then set off through the heart of Graz. Due to a brief change in the weather with rain and thunderstorms, the run had to be temporarily suspended for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, however, the event was able to continue as planned, and all participants successfully reached the finish line.

The DJs from Antenne Steiermark provided extra energy along the route, once again transforming the business run into a real party atmosphere and atmosphere of movement. Cheered on by thousands of spectators, every kilometer became a shared experience.

At the finish line, the well-deserved reward awaited: celebrating together, networking, and enjoying the evening. Despite the brief rain shower, the participants didn't let it dampen their spirits. Around Karmeliterplatz, there was dancing, laughter, and toasts to achievements. Just in time for the awards ceremony and party, the weather returned to its best.

THE BIGGEST TEAMS OF THE RAIFFEISEN BUSINESS RUN 2026

This year, numerous leading Styrian companies and institutions were once again strongly represented. The largest team was fielded by KNAPP AG with an impressive 472 runners. They were followed by Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark (284), the City of Graz (276), Graz University of Technology (260), AVL (246), Siemens Mobility (184), NXP (170), the Austrian Red Cross (164), Fresenius Kabi Austria GmbH (162), and UNIQA Insurance Group AG (134).

FASTEST LEGS OF THE ANNIVERSARY EVENING

In the women's race, Julia Bruhn secured victory with a strong time of 17:00,0 minutes. Stefanie Kurath took second place with 17:15,3 minutes, followed by Ute Pirchan, who finished third with 17:45,1 minutes.

In the men's race, Lukas Novak prevailed with a time of 14:18,8 minutes. Second place went to last year's winner Julius Ott (14:32,0 minutes), and third place to Fabian Ferk with 14:52,2 minutes.

In the team competition, the men's team "UTC powered by Brüder Thumfort" celebrated victory. The women's team "OMNi-BiOTiC Powerteam 1" secured first place, while in the mixed category, "runninGraz by Kleine Zeitung 5" stood atop the podium.

PROMINENT FACES AT THE RAIFFEISEN BUSINESS RUN

The Raiffeisen Business Run once again attracted numerous personalities from politics, business, and sports to Graz this year. Among those participating was the city councilor for sports. Kurt Hohensinner, National Council Markus Leinfellner, RLB General Director Martin Schaller, Managing Director of RLB Rainer Stelzer, UNIQA Country Director John Rumpl, Saubermacher managing director Hans roth, Andreas Prückler from the Kleine Zeitung and Nicole Niederl from the magazine "Die Steirerin".
